The Twelves are two Brazilians who can easily get you dancing. How can I be so sure? I’ve confidence in their talent for taking likable to lukewarm songs and reworking them so that they’re smart and brimming with verve.
There aren’t many DJs that can keep the remixes coming as frequently as the Twelves. Even fewer can promise to deliver a quality, signature sound with each track. And their disco synthesizer charm sure as hell doesn’t distinguish. They’ll mix anything from Radiohead to the Fleet Foxes to even A-Ha (Take On Me, of course). Here’s an original and a few reworks you shouldn’t miss.
Beaches and Friends (The Twelves Remix) – Database vs. French Horn Rebellion
The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song (The Twelves Remix) – The Flaming Lips
Drop The Tough (The Twelves B-Live Remix) – Groove Armada
